A successful concert was lield in the Sumner Town Hall in aid of the funds of the Sumner Pride Hodge of Juvenile Good Templars. The arrangements were in the hands of the Superintendent and the Assistant of Junior Works, and a good programme was presented. Mrs H. W. Heslop was accompanist. Items were contributed as follows:—Songs. Messrs A. Caithness and L. Haxel and Miss G. Torkington; musical monologues. Miss Middleton; skipping dance, Miss Jean Smith: pianoforte solos. Mr c. Stevens: banjo solos, Mr A. Ward; Scottish dance. Miss L. Smith; pianoforte and banjo duets, Messrs C. Stevens and A. Ward. A vote of thanks was accorded all who had assisted.
