Before the nominations were taken in June, the prize money of the Middle Park Plate was increasedby £SO, and it was decided that no further alterations be made in the stakes.‘ In the Halswell Handicap. the hack conditions were deleted and the follow—ing special conditions were substitut-e<l:-“FOr horses that at time of nomination have never won a flat race of the value of 150 sovs to the winner or flat races of the aggregate value of 300 sovs to the winner." The Post Handicap will be run under the special conditions which were in force at the meeting last month, being for horses who have not won a flat race of the value of 200 sovs or flat races of the aggregate value of 400 sovs. It was decided that the practice of running five furlong races on the six furlung track be discontinued.
