Kiepura Film Transferred to Crystal Palace.

Following a successful run at the Regent Theatre, “ My Song For You,” Jan Kiepura’s latest film, is being shown at the Crystal Palace for a short season. It is a remarkable picture in many ways, its outstanding quality being the superb and splendid singing of Kiepura. In his previous record-breaker, “ Tell Me To-night,” Kiepura gave a sample of his beautiful voice and also showed his capabilities as an actor. But in his latest success these special attributes stand out ever so much more. In “My Song For You” Kiepura's voice is fuller and rounder, and he has more scope for his cheery acting. Sonnie Hale is the bright spot of the film. 11 is comedy work in “ Tell Me To-night ” is well remembered, but he is even better in “My Song For You.” Hale’s broadcasting effort is one of the finest pieces of humour seen for a long time. Another piece of fine comedy is provided when Aileen Manson, the leading lady, becomes entangled at the rehearsal of the grand opera “ Aida.” The story of the film has a nice strain of romance running through it—in fact, tenors always do make good lovers—and it allows Kiepura.
