AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS.
The Australian champion backstroke .swimmer. Reg V. Clark, together with Harry Tickle, high board diving champion of Australia, will make his first appearance in Christchurch at the Tepid Baths on December 12. when he will be matched against Walter Jarvis and George Low, New Zealand record-holders over free style and backstroke distances. In view of the fact that Clark lias dead-heated with Jarvis and twice returned 24 4-ssec for 60yds—one second outside the New Zealand record held by Jarvis—some great racing should be witnessed when the pair meet here. Tickle has amased southern swimmers with wonderful exhibitions of fancy diving, and Christchurch enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting his appearance here.
