Loyal Kia Toa Lodge Meets. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Kia Toa Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., was held on Monday evening, N.G. Sister A. Jones presiding over a good attendance of sisters. The N.G. welcomed the district officers, Sister Turpin, from Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge, and officers and members of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge. Sick pay and accounts were passed for payment. An invitation was accepted for the sisters to attend the next meeting of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge. Officers for the ensuing term were elected as follows: N.G., Sister M. Manson; V.G., Sister E. Casey-; elective secretary. Past Grand Sister M. Nystrom: I.P.N G., Sister A. Jones; warden, Sister D. Hemsley; outside guard, Sister Z. Glasson; inside guard. Sister A. Sneddon; R. and L. Supporters to N.G., Past Grand Sister I. Scott and Sister E. Meade; R. and L. Supporters to V.G., Sisters B. Wales and L. Childs. The Grand Master, Brother G. C. Taylor, addressed the meeting and congratulated the sisters on the splendid work done during the year. Prov. C.S Brother W. T. Foster also addressed the meeting. It was decided that the newly installed officers arrange the evening next lodge night. Cricket Teams. On the occasion of his retirement after thirty-five years’ service, Mr W. Brown, railway yard foreman at Lyttelton, was met by the stationmaster (Mr A. K. Dyne) and the staff and presented with a leather suitcase and a hatbox for Mrs Brown. In making the presentation, Mr Dyne referred to Mr Brown’s long and faithful service and wished him happiness in his retirement.
