CAR COLLISION.
Professor A. A. Bickerton
and Wife Hurt. Professor A. A. Bickerton, formerly Government Analyst and his wife, had a narrow escape from serious injury this afternoon when the car in which they were driving and another car collided at the intersection of Matheson’s and Ferry Roads. Professor. Bickerton’s car was overturned. Both i the Professor and his wife suffered severe shock and bruising. Professor Bickerton was driving a sedan car down Matheson’s Road and was turning west down Ferry Road when the collision occurred. The other car, also a sedan, was driven by Mr C. W. Skidmore, 25, Matlock Street, Woolston. The Professor’s car, struck on the left-hand side, was thrown round into Barbour Street, and there capsized. The car was badly damaged, one side being severely crushed and both wheels were buckled. Mr Skidmore’s car was not greatly damaged, though both front mudguards and the bumper-bar were crumpled.
