BAD STORMS.
Australian Districts Suffer Damage. LIGHTNING KILLS TWO MEN. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 8, 11.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. During a storm which swept the Horsham district. lightning struck and killed Johann Gross, aged 50, and a man named Voight, aged about 30, and seriously injured a third man, who was sheltering, under a tree. A terrific thunderstorm swept the Mallee and Wimmera districts and there were cloudbursts at several places. Crops were flattened and houses and shops flooded. Four women and two children were injured by flying iron and glass. An Adelaide message says that tor rential rain flooded the city and suburbs. The creeks from the hills overflowed and low-lying suburbs were inundated. In the soldiers’ homes In Wayville West the water is two to three feet deep.
