A young sculptor of 23, Giovanni Sargento (his real name is John Sargent, but what chance has a young, unknown artist got with that name ?) has rented a disused London shop in which to hold an exhibition of his work, despite unsympathetic dealers. His exhibits are entirely of cats—cats in Portland stone, in green onyx, in whitp Greek marble, in red granite and even in what he calls washstand marble. They are not the domestic variety, but rather architectural and decorative cats, reminiscent of Bubastis or the “ Lion of St Marie.” Opip. Bride’s Szmembranoe. Tel. 36-761
