BRIDGE PARTY.
Vfsitors to Christchurch Entertained. QUEEN'S CLUB MEMBERS. To give town and country members of the Queen’s Club an opportunity of meeting together under pleasant auspices. a reception is arranged each race week for club members. This time it was decided to organise a bridge party, which was held with great success last evening. About ten tables of bridge were arranged, some members taking this opportunity of entertaining their friends who are visiting Christchurch for the races. The two reception rooms were cosily heated by cheery fires. On the mantelpiece in the main room a huge china basket was filled with arum lilies and foliage, while- in the smaller rooms red peonies were used with advantage as* floral decorations.
