Successful Concert in Aid of Funds. • A successful concert In aid of tlie Hornby Primary School funds was held on Saturday evening in the Islington Town Hall. The programme was presented by the St Peter’s Anglican Boys’ and .Girls’ Clubs, Riccarton, and the Financial results were gratifying to the committee. The scenery and lighting effects, together with the costumes Tksl"; cr ® at f d realistic scenes, and the abil ty of the artists called forth readv applause. The programme consisted of selections from ’The Mikado,” a humorous sketch. “At the Photographers. •• Florodora ” selections songs by Miss Freda Davison Messrs d. Corrigan and R. Andrews, a recita- ,'® n , ky Mr A. Laugesen, sea shanties by boys of the club, ballet and minuet by girls of the club, and a humorous Play entitled •• Blatherwick the Diplomat.
