SHIRLEY BOWLING CLUB.
The Shirley Bowling Club s first tournament, which will be held on Friday t Show Day) promises to be highly successful. A full entry has been received, representative of the various clubs. The green is in first-class order, and some fine games are promised. Play will commence at 9 a.m. sharp, and five games of one hour and a quarter will be played. The draw for the first round is as follows: Sneddon (Linwood) V. Biggs (Shirley), Parr (Beckenham) v. Angus ♦ Canterbury), Morrison (Papanui) v. Ramsay (Shirley), Madsen (Sydenham) v. Page (Lyttelton), Holmes (Rakaia) v. Tregurtha Opawa), Tves (Edgeware) v. Burgess (Riccarton Racecourse), Jones (United) v. Anderton (Shirley). Christie (Cashmere) v. Williams (Shirley).
