NO ACTION TO BE TAKEN.
The Fruit Board and the Agriculture Bill. HASTINGS, November 5. I The statement that the New Zealand j Fruit Control Board had decided to | take no action in regard to the Agri- ' culture Bill was made by Mr Ralph | Paynter, chairman of the board, when 1 speaking at a meeting of fruitgrowers I in Hastings. j “The board has decided to take no action,” said Mr Paynter. “The Big ! Three will have wide powers, but it is quite possible some alterations will be made in the committee stages. Personally, I think fruitgrowers would be well advised to leave the matter alone. The Bill has not yet passed the committee ‘ stage, and there is every likelihood of alterations being made to it.”
