Tilden and Marshall Beat Opponents. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 2, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 1. In the professional tennis tournament, W. T. Tilden (America) beat M. Plaa (France), 6-4, 7-5, 6-2. A. W. Maskall (Eng.) beat K. Gledhill (America), 6-2, 6-1. 4-6, 6-1. In the doubles, Tilden and Gledhill beat Maskall and Plaa, 6-4, 9-7, 6-4. Tilden won the tournament and received a gold cigarette case.
