NAZI HARVEST SUNDAY.

Hitler Speaks to 700,000 People. United Press Assn. —By Electric Tel egraph—Copy rign r. BERLIN, September 30. The Nazis, on the ground that thei. policy in every way encouraged agr culture, turned Harvest Sunday from local to a national celebration. Herr Hitler addressed a crowd o. 700,000 people at a harvest thanksgiving service at Buckeburg, where a picturesque ceremony was staged bv Dr Goebbels. In addition to an imposing parade of the regular army, Storm Troops and Nazi guards, peasants from every part of the country were present wearing their traditional costumes. Herr Hitler claimed that the various Nazi schemes had found employment for 2,500,000 men. He admitted that the country was faced with a hard winter, while the standard of lining was extremely low for thousands of Germans. He claimed special credit for the labour service, which was not a mere palliative but ensured that every German of every class should be given a shovel and compelled to earn a living with the land workers, thus overcoming class differences as military conscrip tion had formerly done.
