A definite split in the United' Ireland Party and the formation of a Fascist Partv is foreshadowed by events in Dublin during the week-end. After a meeting of a number of Blue Shirt leaders. General O’Duffy announced that it had been agreed to form a body completely independent from the United Ireland Party, which pledged allegiance to himself. An outline of the poliev will be issued shortlv. They would also publish an official newspaper. In the meantime Commandant Croprivate convention of the League of Youth, at Cork, announced that he would suspend any Blue Shirt who joined General O’ Duff v. Twenty-five Blue Shirt officers attended the Cork convention and pledged support to Commandant Cronin. who stated that he had assurances of loyalty from all parts of the country.
