GOLF CLUB’S BALL.

Important Social Event in North Canterbury. AMURI MEMBERS ENTERTAIN. As the result of the excellent organisation of the dance committee, under the leadership of Mrs M. Bethell, of Pahau Pastures, the annual ball of the Amuri Golf Club, held in the Culverden Hall last Friday evening, was a wonderful success, being attended by dancers from all the surrounding districts. The novel decorations, in a red and white colour scheme, were artistically arranged. The windows were hunw with red frilled curtains and the lights were hung with square red shades. The dance numbers were played by George Bradford's orchestra from Christchurch, and extras were supplied by Mrs I. Rennie, Miss E. Powis and Mr D. Ormand. Mr B. Macdonald was master of ceremonies.
