Spanish Government Resigns From Office. ARMS SMUGGLING. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received October 2. 12.30 p.m.) MADRID, October 1. After a month’s precarious existence, supported by 115 Catholic deputies, the Government resigned to-night. The Prime Minister, Senor Samper, amid a Socialist uproar, detailed the f ortes’ and Government’s handling of recent problems, whereupon the Catholic leader, Senor Robles, fiercely accused the Government of bungling the Catalan and Basque problems. Senor Samper’s call for the views of (other parties was received in silence. Senor Samper thereupon sent the President his resignation. A feeling of imminent crisis prevails throughout Spam.
