Negotiations for the entry of New Zealand potatoes into Australia, and for the removal of the Dominion embargo on Australian fruit, are likely to extend for some time, staled the Prime Minister (Mr Forbes) yesterday. Fie said that the Federal ejection campaign had interrupted the negotiations. as Ministers in the Federal Cabinet were busy with their electioneering. However, as soon as the election was over further conversations would be held. Nothing had yet been completed. though, owiug to the shortage of fruit, Australian citrus fruits had been allowed into New Zealand under a special arrangement.
