Togo Johnstone Has Ridden Too Many Losers. LONDON, July 12. It has been mutually arranged between Lord Glanely and jockey W. RJohnstone that the retainer paid by the former to the latter should cease. Johnstone, says “ The Times ” expert, is a most capable rider, but, unfortunately, is riding for a stable that is out of form. No jockey can win on horses that are not good enough, and nothing is more likely to make a jockey ride an occasional indifferent race than riding a series of losers.
