Mrs 11. IT. Wauchop, Heaton Street, left yesterday morning on a visit to Dunedin. Miss E. Macleodsmith_, Cashel Street W est, will return to-day from a holiday visit to Hanmer Springs. Miss Q. Barkley, of Hamilton, who has been visiting Christchurch, has left again for the north.
Miss MjTtle Le Lievre, Akaroa, is a guest at the Lodge, Hanmer Springs.
Mrs C. L. Wilson, the vicarage, Southbridge, is visiting Mrs I. Pilkington, Akaroa.
Mrs Keddell, Invercargill, is in Christchurch on a visit to her sister, Mrs L. W. Matson, Aikman’s Road.
Mrs 11. A. Young, Cashmere Hills, is paying a short visit to Mrs 11. R. Young, Westport.
Miss Una Rhodes, Cherry Farm, Aka roa, is visiting relatives in the Ashbur ton district.
Mrs William F. Swan, St Elmo Flats, left last evening by the Rangatira for Wellington en route to Auckland.
Mr and Mrs Norman Parker, Blenheim, who have been visiting Christchurch, have returned home. Mrs C. T. Ballantyne, Glen-iti, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned home. Mrs Andrew Guild, Strathearn, Tcmuka, will be a delegate to the Women’s Institute Conference to be held in Wellington next week. Mrs R. Rentoul, Hillersden, Marlborovigh, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs Ivan Fowler, Ashburton, has returned home.
Mrs James Catherwood, Papanui Road, and her daughter, Mrs Russeil Cordery, have left on a vigijt to Auckland^
Mr and Mrs W. F. Saunders, Walsall Street, Lower Riccarton, who have been visiting relatives in the North Island, have returned home. Mrs R. T. Pope will return to her home at Kaikoura to-morrow from a visit to her daughter, Mrs Walter B. Harris, Andover Road. Miss Tripp, Orari Gorge, has left Christchurch to stay with Mrs Maxwell Deans, “ Kilmarnock,” North Canterbury. Miss Elsie Goldie, who has been staying with her sister, Mrs Trevor Hawkes, Cashmere Hills, is now staying with her mother, Mrs J. Goldie, Seddon Street, Timaru. Miss Evelyn Cashmere Hills, will leave next month for Australia, where she will judge the dancing and calisthenic sections of the competitions at Adelaide, Ballarat and Melbourne, Mrs 11. Nelson Wright, the vicarage, Akaroa, president of the Akaroa Women’s Institute and a delegate to the Dominion conference in Wellington, left for the north on Tuesday. During her stay in Wellington she will be the guest of Mrs M’Kenzie, Karofi, Mrs T. E. Taylor, Cashmere Hills will leave to-morrow evening for Wellington, where she will attend a meeting of the New Zealand officers of the W.C.T.U. She will stay with her son-in-law and daughter, the Rev and Mrs L. C. Norwood, at Petone. Music lovers in the city will be delighted to learn that M. Leff Pouishnoff, the world-famous pianist, will return to Christchurch next week from Dunedin Two recitals have been arranged at the Radiant Flail, one on Tuesday evening and the second on Wednesday afternoon next.
