ARBOR DAY OBSERVED.
Ceremony at Rangiora
Arbor Day was observed at the Ran. giora Borough School yesterday afternoon, when the pupils of the higher standards planted a number of ornamental trees as well as 100 Pinus trees in the school grounds. Four ornamental trees were planted inside the jubilee memorial gates, and a number of others presented by Mrs M. A. Lane and Mr C. H. Lander were added to the avenue which was commenced when several trees were planted during the jubilee celebrations. Mr N. Goldsbury’ addressed the scholars on trees and their care, and also supervised the planting.
