WILL NOT FIGHT.
Canadian Politicians’ Statement.
(Received July 20, 2.20 p.m.) WINNIPEG, July 19.
The Co-operative Commonwealth Federation National Convention adopted a resolution declaring that Canada should be neutral in “ foreign wars.” Mr E. E. Winch, a member of the British Columbia Legislature, declared that he would never fight in capitalistic wars, but would fight for Russia. The president, Mr J. S. Woodsworth, M.P., said: “Some say we must help Britain or the League of Nations. Let us serve notice that we will stay out.”
