LATE MRS A. I. TAYLOR.
Mrs A. I. Taylor, wife of Mr T. E. Taylor, who died at Akaroa on Saturday evening, was born in Victoria and came to Auckland with her parents. The family later moved to Christchurch In 1886 she married Mr T. E. Taylor at St John’s Church and in 1889 they moved to Akaroa where they had since resided. The deceased lady was an ardent Church worker and was everready to assist in any cases of distress. She was the secretary of the local branch of St Saviour’s Guild and regularly sent oarcels of clothing, etc., to that institution. During the War she was the secretary and treasurer of the local branch of the Lady Liverpool Fund, and a prominent worker during its existence. Besides her husband, Mr T. E. Taylor, she leaves one daughter, Mrs I. Pilkington. and two grandchildren.
