M’LAGLEN AND LOWE.

Famous Screen Team in “No More Women.”

“ Ilips, Hips, Hooray ” and “ The Count” will be screened finally to-moi-rcw night at the Majestic Theatre. “ No More Women,” one of the most powerful dramas in which Edmund Lowe and Victor M’Laglen have been associated since “ What Price Glory?” will begin a season at the Majestic Theatre on Saturday. In their latest picture, the two old rivals are cast as deep-sea divers, rivals in love ashore and for hidden gold beneath the sea.

They begin their conflict as divers on rival salvage tugs seeking 20,000 dollars on board a sunken rum-runner. Trouble arises when M’Laglen’s tug is in herited by an attractive girl, with whom both divers fall in love, and their constant conflicts form the basis of an exciting and amusing film. The under-water scenes are spectacular and well photographed, and provide a satisfactory dramatic balance to the comedy. The stars’ roles in this film are in many ways similar to the Captain Flagg and Sergeant Quirt of the earlier picture. One particularly thrilling scene shows a fight on the ocean bed, Sally Blane, a captivating young actress, who has made a name for herself in Western films, has the leading feminine role, and she is assisted by Minna Gombell. A great supporting programme will include Paramount Pictorial (the world at a glance), “Broadway Nights,” a musical comedy. Fox Australasian News, a comedy, “ Fit as a Fiddle,” and a cartoon, “ Let’s All Sing Like the Birdies Sing.” Box plans at the D.I.C.
