ILLNESS IN SCHOOLS.
Second Outbreak of Measlesat Glentunnel.
There is still a fair amount of sickness among school children in the Canterbury Education Board’s district. The attendances of city institutions are being affected by colds, but the position is not sufficiently severe to warrant the temporary cessation of lessons. Quite a number of country schools have been forced to close their doors on account of influenza and measles depleting attendances. The latest to notify the board that they had closed down for a time are the Tripp, Clandeboye and Glentunnel schools. At Glentunnel there has been a second wave of the measles epidemic.
