FRAUD CHARGE.
Businessmen Remanded on Bail. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 19. John Septimus Payne,' aged forty-two,-a salesman, and Richard Albert Dailey, aged forty, a company director, were remanded to-day on a charge of making a false document, a transfer for twelve shares in Xtravac, Ltd., with intent that it should be acted on as genuine. Their counsel asserted that the charge arose from a company squabble, and had been actuated by malice. Bail was allowed both men, the police offering no objection.
