OBITUARY.

Thomas Le Comte. Mr Thomas Le Comte, who died at his residence, Barry’s Bay, on Monday, was in his eighty-second year. For many years he was foreman for the Ak&roa and Wainui Road Board. He was one of the founders of the Loyal Perseverance Lodge of Oddfellows and was a zealous worker for the Order. Mr Le Comte held the position of Provincial Grand Master of Lyttelton district in 1912. About a year ago he had a seizure and he had been confined to his bed ever since. Woods, formerly manager, of the Blenheim branch of the IBank of New Zealand. He joined the bank staff on his arrival from England in the ’eighties. He was stationed at various branches. lie was appointed manager at Levuka, Fiji, in 1891, and served there for fourteen years. He was appointed Blenheim manager in 1905, and retired about 1918. He leaves a wjidow' and one daughter, Miss A. Woods. , jfcJft W. B. A. Morrison. (Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, July 17. An Auckland accountant, Mr William Beamish Austin Morrison, F.S.A.A. (England), died last night. Born in England seventy-four years ago, the son of the Rev W. R. Morrison, vicar of St Paul’s Canotibury, London, he landed in New Zealand in 1878. At one time, he was on the staff of the South British Insurance Company and later was with the Bank of New Zealand, being for a period in its branch at Fiji. Later still Mr Morrison was accountant for the Bank of New Zealand Estates Co., but he resigned in 1895 to start in business on his own as an auditor in Auckland. Mr Morrison, who spent some years in the East, was an enthusiastic sportsman and as a young man won the Auckland lawn tennis championship on two successive occasions. lie was a very old member of the Northern Club and also belonged to the Auckland Club.
