The following' table furnishes a guide, to investors. Tt shows the trend of the market over a twelve-monthly period, and also indicates the latest changes. The rate of interest available to present purchasers Is shown tn the final column. Transactions ddring the. last week have seen a satisfactory turnover and fairly active business. Banks have eased in several instances, but there lias been a hardening in Government stocks, in which the lower price of the 1940 issue 1s due to its now being ex-interest. A notable increase in price level is shown in Kauri Timbers. Other stocks* have generally remained steady.
