At a meeting of the Addington Burgesses’ Association last night the secretary reported that the annual social had been very successful. It was agre :d to put the profit that had accrued from it into the general fund. In reply to the association’s letter asking for Burke Street to be tar-sealed, the City Council advised that the matter would be considered when the estimates were being framed.
