MEAT EXPORT POLICY.

Developments Expected at End of Month. (“ Star ” Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, July 17. “ Quiescent ” is the description that Ministers now apply to the meat export situation and they do not expect any further developments from overseas before the end of the present month. The next move locally apparently will come from the Meat Board, w-hich has to confer with representatives of the Dairy Board again. The possibility of the total or partial revocation of the Order-in-Council w-hich prohibited the shipment to the United Kingdom of frozen beef and frozen veal is still a subject for speculation. It can be accepted that Cabinet w-ould not disturb the position unless so advised by the Meat Board.
