Heavy floods on the Indian NorthWest Frontier and in the south-eastern provinces of Afghanistan have resulteo in 400 persons being drowned following a cloudburst at Baghlan. Ten persons perished w’hen they were engulfed by a whirlpool in the Kabul River.
