June 26 * The German reply to the British Note refuses to accept the Pritish argument that a six months’ moratorium is unnecessary. BRITISH NEGOTIATIONS. British Official Wireless. (Received June 27, 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, June 26. Sir Frederick Leith Ross, Chief Economic Adviser to the Government, accompanied by Treasury officials, will conduct negotiations on behalf of the British Government with the German delegation respecting the German transfer moratorium. The German representatives will, on their arrival in London to-night, be invited to hold their first meeting at the Treasury to-morrow morning.
