GRAVE DANGER TO CROPS.
LONDON, June 4. The continuance of drought over a great part of the world raises very serious problems, says the “ Daily Mail ” in a leading article.
Nearly every country in Europe laments grave danger to crops. Man remains greatly in the dark regarding the causes of rain and drought, but Antarctic expeditions may ultimately produce a satisfactory theory.
