GOOD-BYE KISS.

Why a Woman Stopped Bendigo Train. MELBOURNE, June 6. As the 4.50 train to Bendigo was moving fcom Spencer Street station yesterday, a woman rushed excitedly on to the platform, and signalled that she wished to have the train stopped. The stationmaster, much surprised by the unusual request, acted promptly, and brought the train to a standstill. Then the woman made her way to a carriage window framing a feminine head and kissed the passenger goodbye. Next, she turned to the bewildered stationmaster and said: ‘ Thank you so much for your kind consideration.’' The stationmaster, loth to disturb this impression of good nature, kept his feelings, which were deep, to himself.
