The trans-Pacific freighter Wairyra now leaves Vancouver next Sunday for Papeete, Rarotonga, and New Zealand and Australia. She will omit United States parts on account of the shipping strike. The Waihemo is still held up at San Francisco. NORFOLK AT LONDON. The Norfolk, which left Lyttelton on April 30 for Hook of Holland and London, via Panama, reached London on Tuesday morning. PICTON FERRY SERVICE. The ferry steamer Tamahine will be withdrawn from the Wellington-Picton service for overhaul and survey on June 30. The Anchor Company’s Araliura will be chartered by the Union Company to maintain the service. Commencing on Monday, July 2, the Arahura will leave Wellington on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at 13 p.m.., and Picton on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at 31 p.m. She will maintain this running until her arrival at Wellington on July 15.
