Excellent Position is Commented Upon.
The annual meeting of the Canterbury Patriotic Fund was held yester--1 day. Mr H. Holland. M.P., chairman of i the Executive Committee, presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet (already published) were adopted on the motion of the chairman. He referred to the excellent position of the fund after nearly twenty years’ work, pointing out that during that period
£336,750 had been distributed by way of relief to distressed returned soldiers, leaving a balance of £29,779. Officers were elected as follows: Chairman. Mr H. Holland. M.P.; deputychairman, Mr C. J.
