SYDENHAM BOWLING CLUB.
A largo number of members and friends of the Sydenham Bowling Club attended the annual social held on Tuesday evening in the Masonic Hall. Wordsworth Street. Trophies won during the year were presented by the president, Mr J. S. Barnett, as follows: Women s singles (Woolcock Cup), Mrs Campbell; runner-up. Mrs R. P. Harris; men’s singles, A. Archer; men's doubles. Archer and Ayson; rinks. Woolcock, Ayson, Sherrington and Bott <s); BesJey Cup, S. Watt: Hollis Cup. W. Britten; Colts Cup, S. Dempsey. Musical and elocutionary items were given by Mrs Winson and Miss Gillooley, Messrs Claude O’Hagen and J. Smith. An exhibition dance was given by Miss Whittington and Mr Wilson. Euchre prizes were won by Mrs Shaw and Miss Kent, Mr Kent and Mr T. Curton. Mr George Russell was at the piano and Battle's Band supplied the music for the dancing.
