BRACKENFIELD HUNT.
Mr and Mrs George March Entertain Followers.
The Brackenfield hounds met on Saturday at the borne of Mr and Mrs Geo. March, Lobnm.
Hounds and field trotted up the road and a start was made in Mr Geo. Barker’s. A hare was soon afoot and after leading the. field for some distance, where the gorse fences were ideal for jumping, eventually made for the Ashley River, where bounds had to be whipped off. A fresh hare was picked up in a paddock of turnips on Mr T. Pulley’a and crossing Mr A. Pulley’s made for a patch of gorse and broom on the riverbank. Hounds were running well with a breast-high scent but their quarry made into the riverbed where hares were too numerous. A sou’wester having come up with a cold drizzle it was decided to pack up.
