“ Bad Men ” Come to Violent Ends.
NEW YORK, June 5. Two “ bad men ” came to violent ends to-day. James Ferrol, a Chicago barber, was cutting Arthur Steuben’s hair when a young bandit entered the shop and ordered both men to hand over their money. Steuben, who is a watchman and was then off duty, fired through his pocket and shot the bandit dead. Ferrol sent for the police and went on with his fob. Herbert Mooney, an escaped Ok homa convict, when recognised by police in San Antonio (Texas), leaped into a stolen car. The police chased him irto the country, where Mooney collided with another car at cross roads, killing one man and injuring another. Mooney esciped from the wreck and sought refuge in a nearby house where he ran into a detective who shot him through the heart.
