METEOR VISIBLE
Illuminates Early Morning Sky.
A meteor of exceptional brilliance was visible high up in the southern sky at 2.45 o’clock this morning Passing from east to west, it was attended by numerous small fragments, and finally burst into small pieces low down in the west. Pale Hue in colour and appearing very like a large rocket, the meteor was followed bv a trail of white light and the sky was brilliantly illuminated for the space of fully half a minute.
