“I AM SUZANNE!”

Lilian Harvey Starred in Bright Picture.

“ Counsellor-at-Law ” will be shown finally on Friday night at the Crystal Palace Theatre.

“ I Am Suzanne,” a film studded with lovely girls, beautiful revue, numbers and photographic wonders, will come to the Crystal Palace Theatre on Saturday. It offers a perfect setting for Lilian Harvey, the famous international star. With its background of Parisian nig>t life and the Podrecca Piccoli Marionettes, the film gives Lilian Harvey a splendid opportunity to display her versatility. More than 300 dancers, skaters and skiers fill the colourful stage in the big St Moritz scene. An imaginative number, in which Lilian Harvey dances with a snowman; a thrilling slide by tne star down a tight-rope stretched from a platform high in the wings; and some daredevil toboganning acts are among the highlights in this picture. The story concerns itself with the love of a young dancer and a youthful member of a declining family of puppeteers. The romance of Lilian Harvey and Gene Raymond, who plays opposite her, can be compared to the unforgettable “ Seventh Heaven.” The marionette performance in the picture is a pleasant mixture of fantasy, satire, comedy, drama, vaudeville and opera. Its scope is unlimited, as it occasionally lapses into operatic performances in which every note, every scene and movement of the original is reproduced perfectly. The acting is splendid throughout. Box plans at the D.I.C.
