Dates for Forthcoming Fixtures Arranged. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 12. Dates for Cnatham Cup fixtures were arranged at a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association this evening. •On July 14 the local finalists are to be found at Auckland, South Auckland, Wellington. Buller, Westland, Canterbury and Otago; July 21. Auckland v. South Auckland at Hamilton, Buller v. Westland at Greymouth; August 4, Buller or Westland v. Canterbury at Christchurch, Auckland or South Auckland v. Wellington on a date to be decided; August 18, Canterbury or West Coast v. Otago at Dunedin; September 15, final at Basin Reserve, Wellington.
MANAGEMENT OF GAME.
Draw for Saturday’s Matches. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Football Association met la?t evening, Mr J. E. Jones presiding:. Withdrawal of its junior grade team was notified by the Technical Old Boys Club. The club’s application for the regrading of three of the players of the disbanded team, in order that the fourth grade team might be filled, was granted. The Otago Association advised that the Otago team travelling to Auckland for the Football Association Trophy match would not have time to play a match in Christchurch. It was resolved, on the Match Committee’s recommendation, that a third round be played in the fourth grade competition. Four series of matches will complete the second round.
