WOMEN’S DIVISION.
New Branch Formed at Redcliffs. Mrs H. A. Nutt, president of the North Canterbury provincial executive of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs J. D. Hall, president of the Christchurch branch, and Mrs R. Jones, of the Styx-Harewood branch, addressed a large meeting of women at Redcliffs recently, where Mrs E. M. Beattie had lent her drawingroom for the occasion. Tt was decided to form a branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union at Redcliffs, and the following officers were elected- President, Mrs Beattie: honorary secretary. Mrs T. Prebble; honorary treasurer, Mrs B. M. Bamford; vice-presidents. Mesdames E. A. Colee. D. J. Smythe. E. A. Rathgen and Northcote.
