A good volume of business was done by Auckland stockbrokers, though the market became quieter yesterday afternoon and buyers this morning showed little willingnss to advance their limits. In the banking and insurance sections the easing tendency noticeable recently caused sellers to come In at reduced values. Bank of New Zealands were available this morning at 51 s, with buyers 6d lower. Commercial Bank holders were asking 16s 6d and buyers offered 16s 3d. South British sold a shilling lower than the late value. Further selling quotations of £79 6s failed to bring a response. Colonial Sugars were steady, and the price is unchanged this week.
