Papanui Club’s Annual Meeting.
The annual meeting of the Papanui Bowling and Tennis Club was held yesterday; the president (Mr J. H. Keetley) presided. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr J. li. Yates; vice-pre*ident. Mr G. Shipley; secretary. Mr R. G. Morrison; treasurer, Mr C. Smith; auditor, Mr T. Gates; delegate to centre. Mr R. G. Morrison; general committee, Messrs R. Bond, A. Rank*. J. Noble, C. Broughton. A. Smith, V. Boggs; sole selector, Mr C. Broughton; match committee. Messrs Gatee, Broughton and Noble; green committee, Messrs Bond. Banks and Bandy; midweek competition, Mr C. Broughton. The president presented trophies and certificates to the winner* of competitions.
The delegate was instructed to oppose any alteration of the present system ot pennant competition. The secretary was instructed to write to the manager of the Olympia Rinks, pointing out **»«. ' pettv thieving from cars left outside the rinks. One men:her had his snare wheel stolen and another, who had ms spare wheel locked, lost hi* fan belt. The following notice of motion was carried with acclamation: “That. Mr J. Freeripn. a past-president of the club and the onlv remaining foundation member. be elected a life member of the club.’’
