As an outcome of the deputation representing milk suppliers which waited on the last meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council, the Ashburton Co-operative Dairy Company wrote to last night's meeting of the council stating that the company had already placed before the local milkmen a proposal covering the handling, treatment and distribution of milk to the public and which would ensure to milk producers to-day’s wholesale valu* o*
milk and a healthier milk for the lie at a price probably lower but not higher than to-day’s price. The company asked if the council would give it the opportunity of placing before the council the proposal as placed before the milkmen. It was decided to receive the dairy company’s representatives at the next meeting of the council.
