(Received June 12, 12.30 p.m) MUNICH. June 11. Dr Reinhardt, Assistant-Minister of Finance, has announced the striking success of the Government’s measure to persuade young couples to marry by promising a loan with which to buy furniture and household goods. .The demand for loans has surpassed all expectations and there are 200,000 marriages annually above normal, necessitating the building of 200.000 more small house flats than hitherto, reducing unemployment by 1,000,000 in four years and relieving the annual unemployment relief payment by £40,000,000.
