BROKEN THIGH. TEMUKA, May 7. A serious accident occurred to Mr A. E. Dobson, of Orton, who had one of his thighs broken. Medical assistance was obtained and he is now progressing favourably. SUPREME COURT. INVERCARGILL, May 7. The Supreme Court opened before Mr Justice Kennedy who commented on the absence of crimes involving dishonesty and of sexual cases. A true bill was returned against John Kirk, charged with, negligently driving a motor-lorry and causing the death of Alexander Sharp. The hearing is proceeding. DESERTION CHARGE.
