TENDERS TOO HIGH.

New Government Life Building. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 3. Official advice was received to-day that tenders for the proposed Government Life Insurance building were considered to be too high. After tenders closed, the matter was placed before Cabinet and it was decided that the matter should be reconsidered. It is understood that the tenders were several thousands of pounds above the architect’s estimate.
