GUILTY OF BURGLARY.

Per Press Association PALMERSTON NORTH, May 3. Joseph Henry Lewis, a labourer, aged thirty-three, was found guilty in the Supreme Court to-night of breaking and entering on September 10 the warehouse of the Dominion Auctioneering Company at Palmerston North and stealing a wireless set and a converter valued at £39. The jury was out for five hours. Lewis was remanded for sentence.

At the meeting of the Reunion Com mittee of the First and Second North Canterbury Infantry Regiment Volunteers last night, Mr W. W. Scarff, referring to the musical programme for the reunion on May 24, recalled that the song, “ Soldiers of the Queen,” sung in Maori by Mr A. L. Gee. was always popular at functions many years ago It was hoped that if Mr Gee, who now lives in Timaru, was present at the reunion he might be persuaded to sing the song again.
